Cluedo: The Play

The Questors Theatre

Cluedo: The Play

Jonathan Lynn & Sandy Rustin

The usual suspects are assembled, the only question is – whodunnit?

Based on Clue, the 1980s cult classic film, Cluedo: The Play brings to life the colourful characters, iconic weapons and memorable locations of the game in an original mystery, live on stage.

Scarlett, Plum, White, Green, Peacock and Mustard have been summoned to a remote manor house by a mysterious butler. When someone is murdered, the guests must discover who did it, where, and with what – before the body count gets too high.

Join us in the park for this hilarious spoof thriller.

“A very fun whodunit that strikes contemporary parallels on the way to its grand reveal.” – The New York Times

“It’s funny and frothy and light, the kind of breezy night at the theater that most audiences would kill for.” – Entertainment Weekly

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the weather is bad?

Please come prepared for the Great British Summer! Being prepared for a sunny afternoon is as important as being prepared for a cooler evening show, and even rain. Our performers will be prepared to perform in all but the very worst of weather and we hope that you will be too. If a performance does not go ahead or is abandoned due to bad weather we will contact you to arrange tickets for another performance or a refund. Please note umbrellas will not be allowed as they block the view of other patrons.

Will there be seating?

Please bring your own seating. Picnic rugs, floor cushions, and folding chairs are all welcome. You can also sit directly on the grass.

Can I sit anywhere?

Seating is un-reserved and on a first come, first served basis. We will mark out different areas for those bringing chairs and those bringing cushions and rugs. If your group has a mixture, you can sit on each side of the marked areas. If you arrive late or a performance is particularly busy we may ask you to sit separately.

Do I need a printed ticket?

You can either request a 'print at home' ticket when you book, which you can simply show on your device. If you prefer a printed ticket, you can collect this from our Box Office. Please note that on the day of the performance, we will have a pop-up Box Office in Walpole Park near the stage so that you can collect your tickets from there.

Can I buy a ticket on the day or just before the show?

Yes, as long as we have availability. But please note tickets will cease to be available online an hour before the show, so at that time just head to the Box Office in the park and you can buy a ticket - only cards will be accepted and only standard priced tickets will be available.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. We ask that you take all rubbish away with you after the performance.

Will there be somewhere to buy food and drink?

Refreshments will be available at The Questors Theatre before and after the show. Unfortunately, only soft drinks will be able to be taken off-site for consumption during the show, but you are welcome to bring your own alcohol from home or join us in our CAMRA award-winning bar for a pre- or post- show drink!

Is there an interval?

There is no interval, but if you need a comfort break during the show you are very welcome to leave the performance area and return afterwards.

Where are the toilets?

The toilets in the park are not currently in service so you can use the facilities at The Questors Theatre over the road.

What if I'm late?

Latecomers will be admitted at our stewards' discretion. Please follow their instructions to cause as little disturbance to the audience and performers as possible.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately no pets are allowed (except service animals).
