Questors AcademyWelcome to the stage!
Acting for All (AFA) introduces you to the world of acting in a supportive and friendly series of workshops. Suitable for anyone looking to start or progress their acting journey.
AFA is comprised of three terms (which can be taken in any order)
Autumn Term (Sep-Dec)
Focuses on acting skills including:
- The voice, vocal techniques & identity
- Exploring improvisation and characterisation
- Movement, physical storytelling and its place in Theatre
Spring Term (Jan-Mar)
Working on performance techniques including:
- Introduction to Epic & Naturalistic theatre
- Exploring Accents & Dialects
- Voice Acting for Audio Drama
- Scene Studies (taking scenes from productions and working them through)
- Character development through movement
The Spring term culminates with a showcase open to friends and family
Summer Term (Apr-Jul)
A guide to audition technique through Classic & Modern text work with the opportunity to:
- Audition for our 1 year Foundation Acting course
- Audtition to become an acting member at The Questors Theatre
- Sign up to shorter courses under our Platform initiative
- Use learnt skills to progress onto other external courses in the Arts
...........Or simply finesse your skills by taking AFA again!
All of these topics will be taught by industry specialists in their field, looking to share their knowledge and experience with our AFA students.

Spring Term: 10th January - 28th March (1 Week Half Term Break & Extra week for performance)
Summer Term: 25th April - 4th July (1 Week Half Term Break)

£210 per term
or £160 per term with a Season Pass

note that this is a popular course so places will be allocated on a first-come,
first-served basis. Booking goes through our box office system and therefore it
will state 'book a ticket' and not 'book a place'.
